Learning to Loveyou more

LTLYM is both a web site and series of non-web presentations comprised of work made by the general public in response to assignments given by artists Miranda July and Harrell Fletcher.

Learning to Love You More is a crowdsourcing project created by Miranda July and Harrell Fletcher in 2002. The main focus was a website where participants could accept assignments and upload their responses. These assignment varied far and wide, from ‘Take a photograph of your parents kissing’, to ‘Record a conversation you have had with a dying person’. The responses created inspire and move the audience, showing insights into the things we are not usually ‘supposed’ to talk about. It is a dynamic piece of art spanning the physical, digital and emotional ranges of everyday people.

Unfortunately the website was closed for new submissions in 2010. MOMA SF bought the rights to the archive and regually have exhibitions of the work produced. If you want to get uplifted by the little things in life we usually pass by, its well worth checking out. LTLYM.
